Each year, many of our favorite weddings are the ones we shoot at the vineyards on eastern Long Island. Quiet, serene, and relaxed – it’s hard to believe that we’re only a short drive from the city. We loved shooting Katie and Danny against the gorgeous backdrop of Raphael Vineyard, and are thrilled with the wonderful response their clip has generated.

What’s in a name (change)?
Welcome to First Day Films.
Surely, many of you have found this site through our former identity, John Miller Videography. To be completely honest, although a lot has changed here, a lot has stayed the same. We have the same staff, the same location, the same nice guy at the helm.
So then, why are we changing our name?
When we decided to change the name of the company about a year ago, our primary reason was to attract the kind of couples we love to work with – fun couples who are edgy, quirky, and have a story to tell. They understand the importance of having a wedding film, and are excited about what a wedding film can be. We wanted to show them what we were up to, and to make it easier for them to find us.
Besides, we had stopped producing traditional wedding videos a long time ago. Our productions are wedding films, pure and simple, and I wanted the new company name to reflect this evolution.
